Meadowlark Lounge to present “Saluting the 70s with Rodney Lay, Rodney Lay, Jr. and Friends”

The Meadowlark Lounge will be hosting a benefit concert for the Independence Historical Museum & Art Center. It is a concert featuring Rodney Lay, his son Rodney Lay, Jr and friends. The concert will be held on Saturday, May 27, at the Independence Historical Museum & Art Center and will feature music from the 70s. The event will start at 7:00 p.m., with the doors opening at 6:00 p.m. This is a major fundraiser to support the “IHMAC Forever” campaign to improve the museum and its building. Refreshments will be served. In addition, other activities such as a silent auction will take place. Tickets are $45, $40 for members, or $400 for a table of 8 with a bottle of wine and take home wine glasses. Tickets may be purchased at the Independence Historical Museum & Art Center, 123 N. 8th Street or by phone at (620) 3313515.
