Caney domestic disturbance leads to two arrests

On September 28 at approximately 7:42 p.m, Caney Police Department officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Wood Street in Caney in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers learned that a possible suspect in the case had fled on foot.

Arriving backup officers located suspect Kodey Andruslis, age 25, hiding in a residence in the 500 Block of South Wood Street. Upon being detained and transported, officers located drugs and drug paraphernalia on Andruslis’ person.

A field test on the drugs indicated the drugs were Heroin. Andruslis was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Jail in Independence on recommended charges of possession of Heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Upon further investigation of the incident, officers arrested Katy Kelso, age 26, for Domestic Battery. She was also transported to the Montgomery County Jail in Independence on recommended charges of Domestic Battery.
