Body

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) began a field survey for two passing lane projects on U.S. Highway 169 in Neosho County the week of June 22.

The two locations being surveyed are: from .5 mile north of the Labette-Neosho county line, north for 4.3 miles; and from .7 mile north of the U.S. 169/K-47 junction, north for 2.1 miles.

The survey will take place on the existing highway alignment.

KDOT expects the survey work to last eight weeks. Activities include the use of survey instruments on the ground to determine locations of existing features within the corridor. A member of the survey crew will contact property owners or tenants for permission to enter private property.

Andrew Riddle and Michael Lay of GBA will manage this survey for KDOT.

Persons with questions may contact KDOT Public Affairs Manager Priscilla Petersen, 620- 902-6433.
