Linda L. Martin, age 75, of Sedan, passed away, Thursday, March 28, 2024, at her home in Sedan.

She was born on July 30, 1948, to Lester L. Redington and Barbara L. (Cole) Redington in Wichita, Kansas. She grew up in Neodesha graduating from Neodesha High School. After high school she attended Independence Community College.

On April 25, 1970, she married Gary Martin in Neodesha. They moved to Sedan in 1974.

Linda worked as the librarian at the Sedan City Library for a short time before working over 30 years at the First National Bank in Sedan, where she held numerous positions before retiring as Vice President.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Sedan where she was a deaconess for many years; she enjoyed painting, cross stitch and cooking; she also was a member of the PEO and Beta Sigma Phi.

She is survived by her husband Gary Martin of the home in Sedan; one daughter, Tiffany Sanders and husband Kirk of Sedan; two brothers, Dan Redington and wife Sharon of Neodesha and Leslie Redington and wife Yvonne of Tulsa; two grandchildren; Lindsay Jones of New York City, New York and Chandler Jones of Sedan; three greatgrandchildren and many other family and friends.

Graveside Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Neodesha Cemetery in Neodesha, Kansas with Pastor Penny Goldberg of the First Christian Church of Sedan officiating.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Dickens Family Funeral Home in Sedan.

The family has suggested memorials to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research and may be mailed to P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, Maryland 21741.
