Wooten Lowell Wayne Wooten, 73, of Mound Valley, peacefully passed away the morning of Friday, February 23, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He grew up in a large family, the youngest of 15 children.

Harolene (Melton) Snyder, age 73, of Independence, KS, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Labette Health, Parsons, with family by her side. Harolene was born September 30, 1950, in Independence, Kansas to James Melton and Beverly (Snell) Melton.

Moley known by his family as the best husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle and friend God could have ever given them passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at CRMC in Coffeyville, Kansas. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville at 2:00 p.m, Pastor Gary Davis will be officiating. Graveside services will follow with Military Honors at the Fairview Veterans Memorial Patio. Tom will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery near his son. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 p.m at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Larry Joe Henry, 82 of Independence, Kansas passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the Journey Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Larry was born on March 1, 1941 in Cherryvale, Kansas to Robert and Leora (Adams) Henry.

Christina Lee Upton Unruh was born in a blizzard on March 10, 1948, at Mercy Hospital in Independence Kansas. The eldest of two daughters born to Edwin and Alberta (Dikeman) Upton, Christina was raised in Independence where she graduated from Independence High School in 1966, attending Independence Community College thereafter.

Paul E. Wilson Sr. passed away on February 18, 2024. He was born in Coffeyville, Ks on October 4, 1946. Paul attended Coffeyville Public Schools and graduated from Field Kinley High School in 1964. He then attended Coffeyville Junior College, transferring to Kansas State Teachers College where he was drafted/ enlisted to the Air Force for the Vietnam War. After receiving an honorary discharge in 1970, Paul completed his education with a B.S. degree in Law Enforcement Administration and completed hours towards a master’s degree in public administration at the University of Oklahoma.
