The COVID-19 pandemic created a shutdown of nearly everything worldwide with the exception of essential businesses and services. The shutdown affected the ability of Community Mission for Improved Housing (CMIH) to help others repair their homes to make sure they are livable but Jerry Bright wants everyone to know they are back at it and ready for more.

Monday’s Independence Community College Board of Trustees Zoom meeting focused largely on the current plans for reopening the campus. Dr. George Knox, interim college president, announced that Eric Figurski has been named athletic director. Figurski has served in an interim capacity since the 2019 fall semester.
