Billie L. (White) Lewark-Wood was born January 21, 1925, to Taylor E and Dona (Hilburn) White in Red Oak, Oklahoma. She attended schools there and was active in basketball, baseball, track, band, Glee Club, Girls Quartet, and she was valedictorian of her class.

Margie Marie Barnes, age 97, of Iola, Kansas, was called to rest on January 25, 2024, at the Medicalodge in Iola, Kansas. A graveside memorial service is planned for February 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Cemetery, 1800 N. Cottonwood St., Iola, Kansas.

Staton Robert Barry Staton, passed away on Sunday, Febraury11, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. He was born on October 27, 1951, in Independence, Kansas to Robert Christy Staton and Mary Alice (Maher) Staton.

Smith Mike Smith, an expert machinist at Solar Technologies and longtime Tulsa resident, died unexpectedly on February 7, 2024, at the age of 52. Mike is survived by his mother, Judy Smith; his sister, Stephanie Phipps and her husband Rand; his brother, Grady Smith and his wife Debbie and nephews Grady Lee Smith and his wife Kristin and Taylor Whiteside as well as aunts and uncles and many cousins.

Davolt Late Thursday evening, February 8, 2024, Lloyd Davolt, 94, of Independence, Kansas, heard the words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” Lloyd was born to Warren O. and Mary Grace (Howard) Davolt in rural McCune, Kansas, on January 7, 1930.

Ramon Martel Burnett, age 39, of Coffeyville, KS, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, in Coffeyville. A private invitation only celebration of life will be held with interment in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, KS.

Merritt Clifford (Lynn) Merritt, 71, Independence, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. There will be a private family service held at a later date.

VanDyne Betty Jane (Rogers) VanDyne transitioned to the next life on Saturday, February 3, 2024, after 97 years of love and service to her family and her community. Betty Jane was born May 20, 1926, to Wilbur and Eva Rogers at home.
