Finding Love in All the Wrong Places

Body
Dear Annie: I have let myself get involved with a significantly younger guy. To make matters worse, I’m married. In my defense, before I even started talking to this other guy, my husband and I had come to a place in our marriage where we were more like roommates than husband and wife. We didn’t even share the same bedroom (which was his decision). He never showed me affection of any kind. We spoke to each other, but that was it.

Did Legalized Abortion Lead to Lower Crime Rates?

Body
Growing restrictions on the right to an abortion have revived talk of what many still regard as a highly controversial theory. It holds that the legalization of abortion in 1973 reduced the number of unwanted children, who might have been at higher risk of committing serious crimes. And that explained the sharp drop in the crime rate that started in the early 1990s.

Abuse and Another Man

Body
Dear Annie: I’m a mom and have been married for nearly six years. But for the past few years, my husband and I have not been on the same path. We can’t communicate without fighting, bickering, arguing, etc. Our sex life has been nonexistent. And I have tried talking and suggesting that we do more things together. I have even tried losing weight because I thought maybe the problem was that I was no longer attractive. I tried everything that I could think of. And some days, I just lay in a different room, balled up and crying.

Joe Biden Is Scared of His Own Shadow

Body
This week, the Islamic Republic of Iran -- a radical Shariah theocracy hell-bent on the destruction of Israel and Saudi Arabia, among others fired some 300 drones and missiles at the State of Israel. This is, definitionally, an act of war. Iran claimed that it had attacked Israel in response to Israel’s killing of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps terror master Gen. Mohammad Reza Zahedi in Syria. In reality, this was merely the latest escalation by Iran, after decades of using its proxies in the Middle East to attack Americans, Israelis and Western allies.

Compliment Good Behavior

Body
Dear Annie: A few months ago, someone wrote to you about how uncomfortable the bad manners of children of a relative made her feel at large family gatherings and dinners. I read your column faithfully and did not see any readers' suggestions printed in the following weeks.

The Peck Perspective (From the Capitol)

Body
Famed baseball player and manager Yogi Berra is credited with coining the phrase, 'It's like déjà vu all over again.' As we near the end of the 2024 session, Kansas’ “middle of the road” Governor is probably just getting her veto pen warmed up – with more expected over the next couple of weeks. Every year during my four sessions as a Senator, I must write about an excessive number of good bills vetoed by Governor Kelly. However, since 2024 is an election year, some legislators who previously opposed override attempts may be more willing than before. Not a good reason to change one’s voting pattern, but it happens.

Seeing the Glory of God in the Eclipse

Body
As excitement was building up for the solar eclipse in Ohio the past two weeks, I saw an electric sign board that piqued my interest while commuting to work in Lima. The sign was placed on a corner in Huntsville, a village that I pass through with a small population of just over 400. It was from a local church and read 'God in the eclipse,' with an invitation to attend the anticipated viewing that took place on April 8. I later came across an article in 'Crisis Magazine' with the same theme titled 'Seeing God in the Eclipse,' written by Eric Sammons. This sentiment was also reflected by many on social media, as there were tweets and posts about the majesty of God that had everyone who saw this celestial event live in amazement.
