Postal Service changes may slow some deliveries, will boost first-class prices for holidays

Body
Folks dropping letters in the mail starting Friday may want to add a few extra days for transit if their missives are going cross-country. Likewise, anyone sending packages and cards around the holiday season will want to have a smidge of extra cash on hand to pay the postage piper.

A little bit of change never hurt…much!

Body
As you might have noticed, our Living section was a bit different last weekend, featuring the beautiful ruins of Legionville Preventorium nestled in rural Montgomery County. There will be a periodic change in our Living Section as time and events allow, turning it into Living History. It will not happen every week, as there are other events and stories to cover and it takes some time to research, so just keep an eye out for them! As a Wichita State University graduate with a Bachelors in History, this kind of thing is my forte and history is definitely something we have a lot of here in Independence and Montgomery County. I love delving into the past of the structures like Legionville and even the Arco Building, which both have a rich and storied past in the area. If you have an idea of a building or event I should cover, please e-mail me at brea@indydailyreporter.com. I would love to hear from you.
