IHS track and field hosts Montgomery County Classic

Last Thursday, April 4, Independence High School track and field headed to Frontenac to take part in the 13-team Raider Invitational, then followed that up by welcoming nine schools to town for the Montgomery County Classic this past Tuesday. At the home event, the Lady Bulldogs took third place as a team, meanwhile the IHS boys were fifth overall.

Bulldogs golf finishes fourth at Pittsburg

Coming off a season-opening team victory at home last week, Independence High School boys’ golf made the trip to Pittsburg on Tuesday, April 9. The Bulldogs came away with fourth place as a squad and one individual medal as sophomore Ethan Small once again led the way with a third place showing. The host Purple Dragons finished first with a combined score of 325, followed by Chanute in second (342), Ft. Scott in third (347) and IHS in fourth (352).
