Independence High School boys’ basketball Head Coach Brad Smith recently announced the schedule for the upcoming summer camps. First up is the 7th- 12th camp, open for any student- athletes entering seventh grade up to the incoming seniors from the Class of 2025.

The Kansas State men’s basketball team has a new scholarship player lined up to play for the Wildcats next season. Chimobi Ikegwuruka, a 6-foot-6 forward from Ellsworth Community College in Iowa, has committed to KState head coach Jerome Tang.

Following a terrific effort by all involved at Regionals in Wellington which resulted in a first place finish as a team earlier this week, Independence High School boys’ golf qualified for the KSHSAA Class 4A State Tournament in McPherson next week. This marks the fourth straight year that all six players will make the trip to the big stage and the Reporter caught up with the Bulldogs at one of their final practices at the Independence Country Club for thoughts on the two-day tourney.
